Hi, I’m Sophie Tighe

an art educator and the creator of Mandalas for Mindfulness.

I hold a Fine Art degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Further Education, and for many years I worked in education helping people explore creativity in supportive and accessible ways. Through my work in both classrooms and community wellbeing programs, I began to see how powerful simple creative practices can be for calming the mind and helping people reconnect with the world around them and with themselves.

Mandala drawing became a natural bridge between art and mindfulness. The gentle repetition of shapes and patterns encourages focus, patience, and a quiet sense of flow. Over time I began sharing this practice through workshops and community programs, where I saw participants gain confidence, slow down, and discover a creative practice they truly enjoyed.

I created this course to make that experience accessible to more people. My aim is to guide you step by step through the process of drawing mandalas while also introducing the mindful side of the practice, so that creating art becomes not just something you make, but something that supports your wellbeing too.
